Nobu Malibu is known for its outstanding food, which includes Nobu Matsuhisa's hallmark dishes including Tiradito, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, and Black Cod with Miso. If you’re looking for a casual steakhouse with classic appetizers, Lucky’s Steakhouse’s menu is full of delicious delicacies such as shrimp cocktail and fried calamari, scrumptious steaks and chops, sautéed sand dabs, a half roast chicken, and more. Located at the Malibu Beach Inn, Carbon Beach Club is one of the few secluded settings in Malibu where one can enjoy sumptuous coastal food as well as amazing views, whether it's sunrise or sunset.
 
Whether you're hanging out with friends or need to do some errands, Malibu also has a number of popular shopping destinations where you can go whenever you want. The Shoppes at Westlake Village is a prominent and expansive retail center in the heart of Westlake Village that features 35 stores and restaurants that provide a diverse variety of dining and shopping options. For the ultimate Southern California surfing experience, Surfrider Beach, which was made famous by surfing movies in the 1950s and 1960s, is the place to be. The Malibu "Surfrider" Beach is part of the Malibu Lagoon State Beach, which includes the Malibu Lagoon and the Malibu Pier. Although this beach features some of the greatest surfing and swimming in Los Angeles, there are only a few bathing places. There are also yearly surfing competitions held here as well.
