Pepperdine “Professor for the Day”

Last week, Madison Hildebrand hosted a “Professor for the Day” experience for Pepperdine students. Instead of a traditional classroom setting, we took things a step further by bringing the class off campus and into the real world of Malibu real estate.

The class was hosted at one of our Malibu listings, 28935 West Beach Lane, turning the home itself into a classroom and creating an experience that felt immersive and real.

From Pepperdine Graduate to Industry Leader

Now founder of The Malibu Life and recognized as one of Malibu’s top agents, Madison brought a level of real-world insight that resonated immediately with students. 

He shared how he got started, how he learned to differentiate himself early on, and how branding, consistency, and understanding people have played a role in his success. The conversation touched on real experiences, real clients, and the decisions that shape outcomes. It was equal parts mentorship, storytelling, and strategy.

Hosting the class at 28935 West Beach Lane shifted the entire dynamic. Being inside the home allowed students to engage with the space in a way that goes beyond description.

They moved through the property with an agent’s perspective, observing how light, layout, and flow influence the way a home is experienced. It became clear that the same space can be interpreted differently depending on the buyer, and that understanding those perspectives is central to how a property is presented.
