Pumpkins, costumes and a little Halloween fun around Malibu. Here are some of the ways we'll be celebrating.
October 8
Start the season with a little creativity. The Malibu Senior Center is hosting a complimentary afternoon of pumpkin painting.
October 16
Head to the Bluffs for a free afternoon of skating, music and Halloween games like Witch Broom Races and Zombie Tag.
Helmets and protective pads are required for the games.
October 18 & 25
The Malibu Farmers Market is getting festive with Halloween celebrations and a pumpkin carving contest on two Sundays this October.

October 22
Malibu Library is pairing pumpkin painting with spooky reads for Teens Read Month. Pumpkins are provided.
October 23
Bu Bash brings prize games, bounce houses, a costume catwalk and spooky stories to Malibu Bluffs Park. Ardi’s Eats and Sweets Food Truck will also be there.
Pre-registration is recommended. Accompanying adults do not need to register.
October 30
Celebrate with music, dancing, treats and a costume contest at the Michael Landon Community Center.

Halloween Day • October 31
Spend Halloween in the hills at Cielo Farms with Rodriguez Jr., music and vineyard views from afternoon into the evening.

Just over the hill in Calabasas, Night of the Jack returns with a one-mile trail of glowing pumpkins and immersive light displays, plus food trucks, a kids’ carnival and seasonal drinks.
Parking passes must be purchased in advance, and the lot closes at 9 PM. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your time slot.

For something a little different, the Santa Monica Hiking Club is hosting a Halloween weekend at Malibu Creek State Park with a hike, potluck and Halloween dance party.
