Investing in Malibu’s Future: The Malibu Life Proudly Sponsors Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year

This month, we were honored to sponsor the 21st Annual Youth of the Year competition hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu. The event recognized eight outstanding Malibu teens who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, service, and positive role modeling within both the Club and the broader community. All eight teens were inspiring and driven. It was an honor to be there to hear their stories.

The afternoon was an inspiring reminder of the strength and character of Malibu’s next generation.

Celebrating Malibu’s 2026 Youth of the Year

Malibu High School senior Diego A. was named the 2026 Boys & Girls Club of Malibu Youth of the Year after delivering a powerful speech and participating in a live Q&A with judges.

Diego has been a dedicated leader within the Club, founding the Wellness Club and launching a clothing initiative to raise awareness and funds for student mental health services. A proud member of the Indigenous Cacaopera community of eastern El Salvador, his work reflects a deep commitment to culture, perseverance, and service.

In addition to receiving a $2,000 scholarship, Diego will represent Malibu at the Los Angeles County Youth of the Year competition. He will attend Tulane University this fall on a prestigious Posse Foundation Scholarship, where he plans to study Latin American Studies and Archaeology.

We extend our congratulations not only to Diego, but to all of the finalists whose leadership and hard work were celebrated that evening.
