Where is the Best Coffee in Malibu?

Malibu isn’t just about ocean views and sandy toes—it’s also home to some seriously delicious coffee. If you’re cruising through town and need your caffeine fix, here’s our list of must-try drinks that are our faves from the best coffee spots in Malibu. If you’re a local and think we missed the perfect cup of joe - let us know!

Alfred’s – Iced Vanilla Latte

Yum! If you want something yummy and it’s a bonus that there is coffee in it, this drink is for you. Everything about drinking this drink is trendy - from the location in the Country Mart to the store’s merch to the instagram posts dedicated to this specific drink. Their iced vanilla latte is yummy. Really yummy. It’s the kind of coffee that makes you feel instantly cooler.

Blue Bottle – Iced Nola Chicory Coffee

Blue Bottle has several locations. Picking up a coffee at Malibu Park at Cross Creek allows you to do your grocery shopping, get your nails done or purchase a Tesla while sipping your coffee. The Iced Nola is a smooth, New Orleans-inspired drink combining bold coffee, creamy sweetness, and just the right hint of chicory. It’s our favorite but you should know that it’s hard to order anything that’s not top-notch at Blue Bottle.

Broad Street Coffee Co – Affogato

When you hear Broad Street you probably think oysters but they also have a coffee shop in the Malibu Country Mart. Definitely get the delicious affogato - the best in town if you ask us. This dessert-coffee hybrid pours hot, velvety espresso over soft serve vanilla ice cream - what could be better than that. It’s the perfect afternoon coffee choice for a sweet pick-me-up.

Cafe De La Plage – Lavender Honey Latte

Head on down to Point Dume Village and pair a lavender honey latte with once of their delicious sandwiches. This one’s for those who enjoy a bit of floral flair with their caffeine - it tastes like a a morning hike through the Malibu mountains (yes, hikes can taste like coffee) . The lavender honey latte is sweet and earthy. It’s like a hug in a cup—perfect for mellow mornings (ok - we stole that line).

Cafe Lux – Cappuccino with Whole Milk

If you are a purist and just want the best straight-forward Cappuccino, Cafe Lux delivers. Their cappuccino with whole milk is rich, smooth, and just indulgent enough to make every sip feel luxurious. It's a classic, done perfectly. You can find Cafe Lux on the Carbon Beach section of PCH.

Sea N Soul – Lavender Matcha Iced

This spot combines a coffee shop with boutique Malibu shopping. It’s small and rarely crowded but definitely has local followers. We like the matcha here - it’s not sweet or “powdery” tasting and we order it with lavender flavoring. The subtle earthiness of matcha meets the delicate sweetness of lavender, making it perfect for sipping by the shore. It’s also a great local surf shop, so you can look for a custom surfboard or new bikini while you sip.

Starbucks – Variety + Iced Blended

You already know Starbucks has something for everyone, but their iced blended drinks are perfect for the kids (they have several sans caffeine) and the tweens that like drinking coffee but don’t yet love the tastes. With such an extensive menu, everyone can find something they are interested in. Whatever Frappuccino you pick, they often load it up with whipped cream and often a drizzle or sprinkle of something decadent - that’s why the Frapp is our pick!

So, whether you’re into espresso classics or something with a bit of flair, Malibu’s coffee scene has you covered. Grab one of these drinks, soak in the coastal vibes, and enjoy the best sips this beach town has to offer! ☕🌊
